Abilene, KS

Located along Interstate 70 about a half-hour east of Salina, Abilene is a friendly town of roughly 6,500 people with deep roots in American history. It is best known as the boyhood home of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, whose presidential library and museum anchor the community. The town also embraces its Wild West heritage as the historic end of the Chisholm Trail, reflected in its walkable downtown and well-preserved Victorian neighborhoods.
