Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of movewhereusa.com and the related features, content, account services, and applications provided by Move Where USA (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service provides

Move Where USA combines public and licensed data, scoring methods, user preferences, and software-generated analysis to help people explore and compare U.S. communities. Features may include town and state information, personalized rankings, saved searches, collaboration, maps, comparisons, and AI-assisted preference tools.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a binding agreement where you live to create an account or use the Service's personalized, collaborative, or other interactive features. Anyone under 18 may browse public informational pages only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. You may not create an account for another person without permission or use the Service to impersonate someone.

4. Relocation information is not professional advice

The Service is an informational research and comparison tool. It is not real-estate, brokerage, appraisal, financial, mortgage, insurance, tax, legal, medical, environmental, safety, or other professional advice. Scores, rankings, summaries, estimates, and comparisons may be incomplete, delayed, generalized, or inaccurate.

Conditions can vary by neighborhood, property, household, and date. Before making a move, purchase, lease, investment, or other important decision, verify relevant information with primary sources and qualified local professionals.

5. Your content and collaboration

You retain ownership of messages, preferences, feedback, and other content you submit. You give Move Where USA a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service.

Only invite people whose email addresses you are permitted to use. Information in a shared search may be visible to its participants. Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, malicious, or that violates another person’s privacy.

6. AI-assisted features

Some features use artificial intelligence to interpret preferences, suggest changes, summarize conversation context, or produce responses. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or inconsistent. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and deciding whether to apply suggested changes. Do not rely on AI output as the sole basis for an important decision, and do not enter highly sensitive personal information into chat.

Free AI access includes an initial grant, a one-time account-creation reward, and a one-time first-feedback reward. The current amounts are shown in the Service. Existing earned credits are preserved when grant amounts change. These grants do not have cash value or reset when additional accounts are created, and we may limit or withhold them to prevent fraud or abuse.

7. Move Where Premium, payments, and allowances

Recurring Premium subscriptions, where offered, cost $19 per month or $150 per year, in US dollars (USD), plus applicable taxes, and renew automatically until cancelled. Your bank may charge currency conversion or foreign transaction fees. Both plans include 100 AI messages each month; annual billing does not change the monthly reset. Unused monthly messages do not roll over. Cancelling stops future billing and preserves access through the paid-through date.

Each subscription payment has its own 90-day money-back guarantee, including monthly and annual renewals. To request a refund, contact us using the Contact page with your account email and the payment you want refunded. One request can cover several payments. Eligibility is based on when we receive your request, on or before the exact timestamp 90 days after each payment, even if processing takes longer. Refund and dispute processing can end access funded by that payment; saved searches are preserved.

One subscriber may invite a partner to combine saved searches. Combined searches do not use the free personal saved-search slot. A partner without their own subscription shares the subscriber’s monthly message pool. While both have active subscriptions, each uses their own pool and reset date, without using the other pool when theirs runs out. Premium scores, custom-column creation or editing, and unlimited personal saved searches require a personal subscription. A partner may view custom columns included in a saved combined search, but cannot edit them.

Priority email support is included with your own active Premium subscription. It does not carry over to an included partner, and no response deadline is promised.

The legacy 90-day Premium pass is a one-time purchase and does not automatically renew. Its terms apply to purchases of that pass rather than recurring subscriptions. Each legacy pass provides 90 consecutive days, 250 paid AI messages, and access for one account owner and one invited partner. Your access period begins when payment is successfully confirmed. A later purchase extends active Premium access or starts a new access period after it expires.

For a legacy pass, the purchasing account and accepted partner share the paid AI-message allowance and paid features. AI-message usage is counted as described in the Service, including the initial natural-language translation of relocation preferences. Requests that fail before a provider response is saved, or that use a no-cost local fallback, are not deducted. Unused paid messages expire when Premium access ends, do not roll over, and have no cash value.

Premium subscriptions are offered to individuals residing in the United States, Canada (except Saskatchewan and Manitoba), Australia, or New Zealand. At checkout, you confirm your country of residence and, for Canada, your province or territory, provide accurate billing information, and accept these Terms. The Service provides research about U.S. communities regardless of where you live. The legacy 90-day pass, where still offered, remains limited to individuals residing in and purchasing it for use in the United States.

Canadian customers are presented with the French version of these Terms before choosing a contract language. After receiving the French version, you may accept it or expressly choose to enter into the agreement in English. For consumers in Quebec, if the language versions differ, you may rely on either version as permitted by applicable law.

These Terms, including the refund policy, disclaimers, and liability limitations, do not exclude or restrict mandatory consumer rights under applicable law, including Quebec consumer protection law, the Australian Consumer Law, and New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act. Our voluntary 90-day guarantee is additional to those rights.

Premium access gives you permission to use the hosted Service during its access period. It does not give you a copy of or possession of the application software, or any right to install, independently execute, modify, distribute, or control that software. Move Where USA retains possession and operational control of the application software, databases, servers, and supporting infrastructure.

Purchases require a Move Where USA account and are processed through Stripe-hosted checkout. The price, currency, and complete product terms shown at checkout control that purchase. For legacy passes, refund requests are reviewed individually. Use the Feedback button and begin your message with "Refund request" so we can review the situation. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and may revoke remaining Premium access and paid messages. This paragraph does not limit any refund or cancellation right that applicable law gives you.

8. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Break the law or infringe another person’s rights.
• Probe, disrupt, overload, damage, or bypass the Service or its security and access controls.
• Use automated means to scrape or extract substantial Service content except as expressly permitted by us or applicable law.
• Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with another user’s account or experience.
• Misrepresent Service output as guaranteed, official, or professionally certified.

9. Our content and intellectual property

The Service’s software, visual design, branding, original text, scoring presentation, and other original materials are owned by Move Where USA or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Public datasets and third-party materials remain subject to their respective ownership, attribution, and license terms. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service or its content.

10. Third-party services and links

The Service may display data, maps, images, links, or services supplied by third parties. Their content and practices are governed by their own terms and policies. A link or integration does not mean Move Where USA endorses, controls, or guarantees the third party. Your interactions with third parties are between you and them.

Some links, including links to realtor or other professional services, may be sponsored, affiliate, or referral links. We may receive compensation if you follow a disclosed link, request an introduction, connect with a professional, or complete a transaction. We identify that relationship near the relevant link or form. Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, Move Where USA is not a party to your relationship or transaction with the third party and does not act as your real estate broker or agent.

11. Service availability and changes

We may add, remove, suspend, limit, or change features, data, scoring methods, eligibility rules, or usage limits. The Service may experience interruptions or errors, and we do not promise that it will always be available, secure, or unchanged. We may discontinue all or part of the Service.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, used the Service fraudulently, or threatened the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Move Where USA disclaims implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant any ranking, score, recommendation, data point, AI output, or outcome. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Move Where USA and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, opportunities, or relocation-related costs, arising from or connected with the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post the revised Terms here and update the date above. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when reasonably appropriate. Your continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
