Adelphi, MD

Adelphi is a Prince George's County community just outside Washington, D.C., named for the historic Adelphi Mill, built in 1796 along the Northwest Branch of the Anacostia River. That creek valley still gives the area a bit of green structure amid dense inner-suburban development. Adelphi is home to the University of Maryland Global Campus and sits near the main University of Maryland campus in College Park. It feels like a practical, diverse D.C.-area suburb, tied to schools, apartments, commuter routes, and nearby higher education.
