About Airway Heights

Airway Heights is a Spokane County city west of Spokane, founded in 1942 and incorporated in 1955. Its name fits its setting near Fairchild Air Force Base, which remains one of the area's defining institutions. Most of the city is within the Cheney School District, and Spokane County Raceway adds a regional recreation landmark. Airway Heights has grown with casinos, housing, warehouses, and west-side Spokane development. It feels like a military-adjacent and highway-oriented city on the edge of the Inland Northwest's largest metro.
