Aliquippa is a city in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, situated along the Ohio River within the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Originally named for a station on the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad in 1878 and long functioning as a steel manufacturing hub centered around a Jones and Laughlin mill, the industrial community of approximately 9,079 is served by the Aliquippa School District.
