Allenton, WI

Allenton is a Washington County CDP in the Town of Addison, set where Wisconsin 33 meets I-41 and the Canadian National rail line. The Rock River passes through the community, and Allenton Creek runs into the East Branch of the river near the 1,160-acre Allenton Marsh Wildlife Area. Allenton Elementary is part of the Slinger School District, while the post office and local businesses give the crossroads a practical center. The mix of highway, rail, river, wetland, and school makes Allenton more than an interchange on the map. It is an unincorporated community with a real local landscape around it.
