About Alma

Alma is a city in Crawford County, Arkansas, located within the Arkansas River Valley at the southern edge of the Ozark Mountains. Incorporated in 1874, it is the sixth-largest city in the Fort Smith metropolitan area. The community is widely known for hosting the annual Spinach Festival at the City Park. Alma features the Skokos Performing Arts Center on Main Street, as well as Lake Alma Park, the town's largest park surrounding a reservoir on Little Frog Bayou.
