Ambler, AK

Ambler is a remote city in the Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska, situated on the north bank of the Kobuk River near its confluence with the Ambler River. Named for a local river tributary, the community lies within a prominent Iñupiaq-speaking region where residents speak a distinct local dialect. With a population of about two hundred and seventy residents, the village is served by the Ambler School within the Northwest Arctic Borough School District.
