Anawalt is a town in McDowell County, West Virginia, United States. The 2020 census counted 186 residents. At one time it was known as Jeanette. Anawalt is named in honor of James White Anawalt, who was then manager of Union Supply Company, a subsidiary of the United States Steel Company.
