Andrews is a city and the county seat of Andrews County, Texas, situated in the Permian Basin region of West Texas. Named in honor of Revolutionary soldier Richard Andrews, the community of approximately 13,500 lies thirty miles east of the New Mexico border. The city features the Andrews Bird Viewing Trail and is served by the Andrews Independent School District, with higher education available through a local branch of Odessa College.
