Angola on the Lake, NY

Angola on the Lake is a hamlet and census-designated place in the Town of Evans, on the eastern shore of Lake Erie west of the Village of Angola. The 2020 census counted 1,481 residents, and the community belongs to the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area. The larger Town of Evans includes a string of waterfront neighborhoods and hamlets, with Lake Erie Beach Park, Evans Town Park, Bennett Beach, Wendt Beach, and Sturgeon Point Marina spread along its shoreline. Lake Shore Road links small businesses and waterfront areas, while farms and agribusinesses continue inland. Angola on the Lake is the lakeside piece of a town that stretches across rural, suburban, and waterfront settings.
