If you are after complete peace and quiet, Antelope is about as secluded as Oregon gets. Home to only a few dozen people in Wasco County, it spent its early days as a frontier stagecoach stop before briefly landing in the global spotlight during the 1980s Rajneesh era. Today, the town has settled back into its slow-paced ranching roots. Surrounded by sagebrush and rolling high desert, it is the kind of place where everyone knows their neighbors and the wide-open landscape is the main attraction.
