About Arab
Arab is a north Alabama city mostly in Marshall County, with a smaller piece in Cullman County. It sits about 1,100 feet up on Brindlee Mountain, near Guntersville Lake and the Tennessee River country. The town began in the 1840s as Thompson's Village, founded by Stephen Tuttle Thompson, before taking on the Arab name. Today it fits the Huntsville-Decatur orbit while keeping a small mountain-town feel, with its own city school district and easy access to lake recreation.
