Arcadia, MI

Set along the scenic M-22 corridor in northwest Manistee County, Arcadia is a quiet coastal town defined by water on almost every side. Lake Michigan sits directly to the west, while inland Arcadia Lake borders the south end of town, complete with a marina and a channel out to the big lake. Between the two lies Arcadia Marsh, a protected coastal wetland alive with waterfowl that creates a scenic, natural backdrop for the whole community.

For anyone considering a move to the area, outdoor recreation is easily the biggest draw. The Arcadia Marsh Nature Preserve features an accessible boardwalk that makes morning walks and birdwatching effortless, while the nearby trails at Arcadia Dunes climb through wooded bluffs to sweeping Lake Michigan views. It is a slow-paced, close-knit corner of northern Michigan with uncrowded beaches, incredible sunsets, and plenty of room to breathe.
