About Argos
Argos is a Marshall County town along the Michigan Road, with a downtown historic district that follows the old route. Land was purchased in 1832, the settlement was first called Sidney, and the name changed to Argos after the ancient Greek city. A tavern, inn, and road work helped shape the early stop, while the present district keeps the town's older commercial blocks in view. Argos is a north central Indiana place where a state road, a Greek name, and a small downtown all meet.
