Asbury, IA

Sitting just west of Dubuque, Asbury is a quiet, growing suburb of around 6,000 residents that offers a relaxed residential feel with city conveniences right next door. Most people live in spacious subdivisions with easy daily commutes into Dubuque or nearby Peosta for work, healthcare, and dining. Families are often drawn here for the safe neighborhood streets and strong public schools in the Dubuque Community School District, making it an attractive home base in the Tri-State area.

Originally established as a small Methodist settlement in the 1830s, Asbury has steadily grown into a close-knit residential haven. Green space is a major highlight throughout the community, thanks to an interconnected trail network linking local spots like Maple Hills Park to scenic getaways at Althaus Wetland and the Wedgewood Nature Preserve. It is an easygoing town where you can spend your weekends biking along the paved paths, watching local youth sports, or heading into downtown Dubuque in less than fifteen minutes.
