About Aurora

Aurora is a city in Buchanan County, Iowa, United States. The 2020 census counted 169 residents. Aurora was founded in 1886 by the Chicago Great Western Railway, and incorporated in 1899. The town was laid out on land donated by a Bishop Warren and his wife Alice, and is named after Warren's birthplace of East Aurora, New York.
