About Aurora

Aurora is a Portage County city southeast of Cleveland, with historic roots and a polished suburban feel. Ebenezer Sheldon, a Revolutionary War veteran, settled in the area in 1799, and parts of central Aurora are now preserved as the Aurora Center Historic District. The city has its own school district, older homes, newer subdivisions, and access to parks and regional job centers. Aurora feels established and comfortable, with more history and green space than a purely new outer suburb.
