About Avila Beach

Avila Beach is a coastal unincorporated community in San Luis Obispo County, situated on San Luis Obispo Bay. Historically inhabited by the Indigenous Chumash people, the town is a popular tourist destination known for its natural hot springs and pristine beaches. The community features three piers, including those at adjacent Port San Luis, and the Bob Jones Trail connects the Avila Beach Golf Resort to a trailhead near Highway 101.
