Avondale, CO

Avondale is a quiet rural community along the Arkansas River valley, about fifteen miles east of Pueblo. Established in the late 1800s and named after England's Stratford-upon-Avon, the area developed around agriculture and cattle ranching supported by local irrigation ditches. With a population of around 600 people, it offers a peaceful small-town atmosphere where open farmland and big plains skies shape everyday surroundings.
