About Bainbridge
Bainbridge is a city and the county seat of Decatur County, Georgia, situated on the Flint River. First established as Burges's Bluff in the late eighteenth century, the community of approximately 14,400 lies near Jim Woodruff Dam, which forms Lake Seminole where the Flint and Chattahoochee rivers meet. The city hosts the annual River Town Days festival each March and is served by the Decatur County School District.
