Barbourmeade, KY

Located in Louisville’s East End about ten miles from downtown, Barbourmeade is an established suburban community known for its quiet streets and classic mid-century homes. Sitting right between Interstate 71 and Brownsboro Road, it offers an easy daily commute along with quick access to nearby shopping and dining. The neighborhood grew in the 1960s from historic family farmland, maintaining a peaceful, independent feel while staying closely connected to the rest of the metro area. It even holds a bit of local music history, having served as the 1990s home base for Omnicron Records and some of Jim James’s earliest releases.
