Barling, AR

Barling is a quiet community of around 5,000 residents tucked directly against the eastern edge of Fort Smith in western Arkansas. Originally settled as farmland and named after an early settler, Aaron Barling, the town grew steadily alongside neighboring Fort Chaffee through the mid-twentieth century. Today, it offers a relaxed, small-town atmosphere right next door to the expanding shops, restaurants, and neighborhoods of Chaffee Crossing.
