Set along the Ivy River about twenty minutes north of Asheville, Barnardsville offers a quiet mountain setting surrounded by forested ridges and open pasture. With around six hundred residents, the community has deep Appalachian roots that started in the early 1800s as a roadside inn and stagecoach stop.
