Barneveld, NY

Barneveld is a quiet, historic hamlet in Oneida County, tucked just north of Utica along Route 365. Home to only a few hundred residents, it gives newcomers a relaxed, small-town atmosphere right near the edge of the Adirondacks. Dutch settlers founded the area in the late 1700s, and you can still see that heritage in the handsome historic architecture, including landmark stone homes like Mappa Hall.
