About Batavia

Batavia is a village and the county seat of Clermont County, Ohio, situated along the East Fork of the Little Miami River. Platted in 1788 and settled by pioneer Ezekiel Dimmitt in 1797 within the Cincinnati metropolitan area, the residential and administrative community of approximately 2,794 is served by the Batavia Local School District locally.
