About Bayshore

Bayshore is a Lincoln County census-designated place on the central Oregon coast, with the Pacific Ocean to the west and Alsea Bay to the south; Waldport is across the bay. The 2020 census counted 952 residents, and the place was first listed as a CDP for that census. Bayshore formed in the 1960s as a member-based beach club, with homes set between the ocean beach and the north side of Alsea Bay. Much of the neighborhood's shared life runs through Bayshore Beach Club.

Volunteer members manage a clubhouse and activity room, event hall, pool, game and exercise room, tennis court, playground, picnic tables, and fire pits. The club's pool is open seasonally, with daytime swimming and exercise sessions. The beach and bay put shoreline access into everyday orientation, and the club's pool and rooms provide places for meetings, exercise, and seasonal gatherings. Bayshore is a coastal community tied closely to Waldport, with a member-run facility system set between ocean beach and bay water.
