Beatrice, NE

Beatrice is the county seat of Gage County, Nebraska, situated along the Big Blue River south of Lincoln. Founded in 1857 by passengers from the grounded steamboat Hannibal who traveled inland along the DeRoin Trail, the city of approximately 12,225 is home to the Gage County Museum. Public education is served by the Beatrice Public Schools district.
