Beaulieu, MN

Beaulieu is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in Beaulieu and Chief townships, Mahnomen County, Minnesota, United States. The 2020 census counted 103 residents. A post office called Beaulieu was established in 1891, and remained in operation until 1960. John Beaulieu, the postmaster, gave the community its name. Beaulieu makes sense once you see how its past, landscape, and current gathering spots overlap. The useful thing to know about Beaulieu is that its older landmarks and current settings belong to one connected place. Beaulieu is in central Mahnomen County, on the north side of Minnesota State Highway 200. Beaulieu is bordered to the south, across MN 200, by Midway. Beaulieu includes the Wild Rice River.
