Beaver, AR

Tucked into the Ozark hills just northwest of Eureka Springs, Beaver is a tiny, peaceful community set right where the White River flows toward Table Rock Lake. Highway 187 winds through town and crosses the water on the historic Beaver Bridge, a 1949 single-lane wooden suspension bridge known locally as the Little Golden Gate. Taking turns driving across its wooden deck is simply part of daily life here.
