Beaver Creek, TX

Beaver Creek is a census-designated place in southeastern Burleson County, about twelve miles southeast of Caldwell. It is an unincorporated rural community, so the county seat remains the nearest place for many government, school, and shopping trips. The name points to the creeks and low-water channels that cut through the surrounding countryside, while the roads between Caldwell, Somerville, and the smaller farm communities make up the practical map of the area.

The 2020 census was the first time Beaver Creek appeared as a CDP, giving a formal boundary to a place that had long been part of the county’s scattered countryside. Burleson County carries the name of General Edward Burleson, a Texas soldier and statesman, and the wider county mixes ranches, farms, and long-established settlements. Most of the settlement is experienced from the road, in long views across fields and scattered homes. Beaver Creek’s character is found in that open setting: houses and acreage spaced along rural roads, a short drive from Caldwell, and a community name tied to the watercourses that shape the land.
