Beaver Marsh, OR

Beaver Marsh is a tiny rural community tucked along U.S. Route 97 in northern Klamath County, about six miles south of Chemult. Home to around fifty residents, it borders the open marshlands and pine country of the upper Klamath Basin. Daily life here is quiet and remote, offering a relaxed, secluded setting with the Cascade Range rising just to the west.

The area has a long history as a mountain passageway, originally serving as a stagecoach stop along the 19th-century Oregon Central Military Road. It later hosted a brief railroad-era post office in the late 1920s as regional transportation expanded. Today, Beaver Marsh remains a peaceful roadside settlement for anyone drawn to wide-open spaces and the rugged outdoors of central Oregon.
