Beckville, TX

Beckville is a quiet East Texas town in Panola County, located just northwest of Carthage. It got its start in the 1850s when Matthew Beck settled about a mile east of where the community stands today. When the railroad arrived in the late 1880s, local developers established a new townsite right along the tracks. Businesses quickly packed up and moved toward the rail line, shifting the whole community westward and leaving the original settlement behind as Old Beckville.

Today, Beckville offers a calm, rural lifestyle set among the East Texas pine trees.
