Bee Ridge, FL

Bee Ridge is a census-designated place in Sarasota County, just inland from the city of Sarasota and the Gulf Coast beaches. It is primarily residential and suburban, with shopping, schools, medical services, and road access doing most of the everyday work. The Ashton Trailhead on the Legacy Trail and places such as Manning Memorial Preserve give the area useful outdoor connections. Bee Ridge is not a beach town in itself, but it works as a practical Sarasota-area base close to both inland neighborhoods and coastal amenities.
