About Bellevue

Bellevue is a Peoria County village southwest of Peoria with a very specific origin story: it started as Bellevue Acres, a subdivision cut from two farms in 1936. The South Side Realty Company laid out 115 residential lots, and the first lot sold in April 1937. Bellevue incorporated on March 2, 1941, and the village has stayed connected to Peoria’s suburban edge ever since. The school map is split among Norwood, Pleasant Hill, Monroe, and Pleasant Valley elementary districts, with Limestone Community High School District 310 serving the upper grades. If you’re placing Bellevue on the local map, think planned subdivision, Peoria County, and a village boundary built out of former farmland.
