About Bethany

Bethany is a town in Clay Township, Morgan County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The 2020 census counted 95 residents. Bethany was incorporated in 1955, named for Bethany Park, established on the site in 1884 by the Disciples of Christ for camp meetings. Bethany is in northeastern Morgan County and is bordered to the northeast by Brooklyn. That mix gives Bethany a clear local shape within Indiana, with older layers still visible in current places. The local scoop is a place whose streets, landmarks, and institutions keep its earlier story close to the present. Bethany's downtown is part of the local map. Bethany includes the town sits just to the northwest of the White River.
