About Beulah

Beulah is a city in Mercer County, North Dakota, situated near the Knife River. Founded in 1914 and named for Beulah Stinchcombe, the community serves as the home of the Dakota Gasification Company and is located adjacent to the nation's largest lignite mine, and is served by Beulah Public Schools locally.
