About Biglerville
Biglerville is an Adams County borough in the middle of Pennsylvania’s fruit belt, and the National Apple Museum makes that local connection plain. The museum opened in 1990 inside a restored pre-Civil War bank barn, with exhibits on picking, packing, shipping, processing equipment, orchard photographs, and farm life. Biglerville’s name has its own turn: the settlement was once called Middletown, then became Bigler in honor of Governor William Bigler before “ville” was added. The borough is also tied to the National Apple Harvest Festival. Biglerville is a Pennsylvania borough where the town name and the surrounding orchards point in the same direction.
