Biglerville, PA

Biglerville is an Adams County borough in the middle of Pennsylvania’s fruit belt, and the National Apple Museum makes that local connection plain. The museum opened in 1990 inside a restored pre-Civil War bank barn, with exhibits on picking, packing, shipping, processing equipment, orchard photographs, and farm life. Biglerville’s name has its own turn: the settlement was once called Middletown, then became Bigler in honor of Governor William Bigler before “ville” was added.
