About Biscayne Gardens

The Golden Glades Interchange occupies Biscayne Gardens’ northern side, connecting Interstate 95, Florida’s Turnpike, U.S. 441, State Road 9, and the Palmetto Expressway. The northeastern Miami-Dade County community lies 11 miles north of downtown Miami and had 32,499 residents in 2020. Miami Gardens borders it on the northwest, North Miami Beach on the northeast, North Miami on the south and southeast, and Opa-locka on the west. Residents overwhelmingly rejected an incorporation petition in November 2021, leaving Biscayne Gardens unincorporated. Its park-and-ride facility also receives feeder buses operated by Miami-Dade Transit and Broward County Transit.
