Blackville, SC

Located in Barnwell County along U.S. 78, Blackville is a quiet rural community with deep roots and a unique local flavor. The town originally developed as an early railroad stop between Charleston and Hamburg, but its most famous landmark sits just down the road at Healing Springs. Known locally as God's Acre because a 1930s deed legally placed the property into the care of the Almighty, the natural artesian springs still draw residents and travelers from all over to fill jugs from the cool, free-flowing pipes.
