Blackwell is a city in Kay County, Oklahoma, situated along the Chikaskia River at the intersection of U.S. Highway 177 and State Highway 11. Established following the 1893 Cherokee Outlet land run by founder A.J. Blackwell, the agricultural and oil center of approximately 6,042 is served by Blackwell Public Schools locally.
