About Blountstown
Blountstown is a city and the county seat of Calhoun County, Florida, situated along the western bank of the Apalachicola River. Named after Seminole Chief John Blount who was granted land here in the early nineteenth century, the forestry and agricultural center of approximately 3,136 is served by the Calhoun County School District locally.
