Bogue, NC

Bogue is a Carteret County town on the mainland side of the Crystal Coast, along Bogue Sound and the western edge of the county. North Carolina Highway 24 runs through town, linking it west toward Jacksonville and east toward Morehead City, while the Croatan National Forest borders the northern side. Bogue’s local feel comes from that split geography: a small inland town with sound water to the south, forest to the north, and beach-country roads moving through the middle. The name is short, but the map around it is not.
