Bon Air, VA

Bon Air is a Chesterfield County census-designated place just southwest of Richmond. It began as a resort-style village tied to the Richmond and Danville Railroad, and its historic district preserves some of that older, leafy character. Today Bon Air is mostly residential, with local schools, churches, shopping, and quick access into Richmond. It feels established rather than newly suburban, with winding streets, mature trees, and a bit of 19th-century retreat history still visible beneath the everyday Richmond-area commute.
