About Bonham

Bonham is a city and the county seat of Fannin County, Texas, situated in the northern Texoma region. Established in 1837 as a fortified settlement known as Bois d'Arc and later renamed to honor Alamo defender James Bonham, the community of approximately 10,697 features a replica of historic Fort Inglish. Public education is administered by the Bonham Independent School District.
