Boody, IL

Boody is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Macon County, Illinois, United States. The 2020 census counted 232, residents. The community was named after Col William H Boody. Boody is located in southwestern Macon County on Illinois Route 48, 8 miles southwest of downtown Decatur, the county seat, and 20 miles northeast of Taylorville. The district's comprehensive high school is Meridian High School. The short version is that Boody carries an earlier story into the places people know and use now.
