Borger is the largest city in Hutchinson County, Texas, situated near the Canadian River. Founded in 1926 by Ace Borger following a major oil discovery in the area and serving as home to Frank Phillips College, the community of approximately 12,226 is served by the Borger Independent School District for public primary and secondary education.
