Bowles, CA

Bowles is a census-designated place in Fresno County, California, located eleven miles south of downtown Fresno at an elevation of 279 feet. With a population of 158 at the 2020 census, the community takes its name from a local pioneer family. A post office operated at Bowles from 1904 to 1943. Local students attend schools in the Pacific Union Elementary School District, with ninth through twelfth graders zoned to Washington Union High School.
