Boxford is a census-designated place comprising the historic center and eastern portions of the town of Boxford in Essex County, Massachusetts. Located on lands historically controlled by the Agawam sachem Masconomet, the heavily forested community of approximately 2,284 is bounded to the south by the Ipswich River and is known for its annual fall Apple Festival. Public education is provided by the Masconomet Regional School District.
