Brackettville is a quiet, sun-soaked small town nestled along Highway 90 in Kinney County. Originally settled in the 1850s to support nearby Fort Clark, the town still carries a strong frontier feel with its limestone courthouse and historic downtown streets. Much of the local heritage centers around Fort Clark Springs, where old cavalry barracks and officers' quarters now blend into everyday community life, surrounded by shaded pecan trees and natural spring waters.
